• Photos: When you verify completed tasks, photos you take are stored with your account.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features used, and app performance data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

App Category Classification

Envive is classified as a Family/Parental Control app, not a Kids Category app. While children use the app under parental supervision, the app is designed for parents to manage their household and requires parental account creation first. This app is intended for mixed audiences: parents (18+) and their children (ages 4-17) under direct parental supervision.

Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We use the following third-party service providers and share data as described:

Supabase (Backend Infrastructure)

• Data Stored: Email address, full name, age (for child profiles), household information, task completion data, and verification photos
• Purpose: Application database, user authentication, and data storage
• Location: Supabase secure cloud servers (encrypted in transit and at rest)
• Data Shared: Only the personal information necessary to provide our services

• Your Control: You can request deletion of all data at any time
• Security: Supabase provides the same level of protection for user data as stated in this privacy policy

Apple Sign In

• Data Shared: Apple-verified email address and name (optional, based on your Apple ID settings)
• Purpose: Secure account authentication without requiring separate password creation

Apple Family Controls API

• Data Usage: Screen time monitoring and app usage patterns (ON-DEVICE ONLY)
• Purpose: Enable parental screen time management features
• Critical: Screen time data NEVER leaves your device, is NOT transmitted to our servers, and is NOT shared with Apple or any third parties beyond standard iOS system operations
• Storage: All screen time data remains exclusively on the local device

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• Within Your Household: Information is shared between parent and child accounts within the same household (by design)
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request
• Service Providers: With trusted third parties who help us operate our service (like Supabase)
• Safety: To protect the safety of our users or the public

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Envive is designed for families with children under 13 years of age. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requirements.

Verifiable Parental Consent (VPC) Process

CRITICAL: Children under 13 cannot create accounts independently. We obtain verifiable parental consent through the following methods:

1. Parent Account Creation First
   • Only adults 18 years or older can create parent accounts
   • Parents must verify their email address through a confirmation link
   • Parents authenticate using either:
     • Email/password authentication (email verified)
     • Apple Sign In (age-verified through Apple ID, which requires users to be 13+)
2. Explicit Child Profile Authorization
   • Only parent account holders can create child profiles
   • Parents explicitly enter their child's name and age
   • Parents acknowledge they are the legal parent/guardian when adding children
   • Child profiles cannot be created without an active, verified parent account
3. Household Control Architecture
   • Child accounts cannot exist independently - they must be linked to a parent account
   • Children can only join households using parent-generated invite codes
   • Parents maintain complete administrative control over all child profiles
   • All child data is accessible and manageable by the parent
4. Ongoing Parental Control
   • Parents can review all child data at any time through the app
   • Parents can modify or delete child profiles instantly
   • Parents receive notifications about child activities
   • Only parents can adjust privacy and data collection settings

This multi-layered approach ensures that only verified parents can authorize data collection from children under 13, meeting COPPA's verifiable parental consent requirements.

Data Collection from Children

We only collect the following information from children under 13, and ONLY with verifiable parental consent:

• Name: To personalize the child's experience
• Age: To provide age-appropriate features and content
• Task completion data: To track chores and reward screen time
• Photos: Only verification photos for completed tasks (optional)
• Screen time usage: Monitored locally on-device only (never transmitted to servers)

We do NOT collect from children:

• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Precise geolocation
• Social security numbers
• Any other personal contact information

COPPA Compliance Requirements

• ✅ Parental Consent: Required before any data collection from children under 13
• ✅ Limited Collection: We collect only the minimum information necessary for the app to function
• ✅ No Advertising: We do not show any advertising to children, targeted or otherwise
• ✅ No Third-Party Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics or tracking on child accounts
• ✅ No Third-Party Sharing: Children's information is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes
• ✅ Parental Control: Parents can review, delete, or modify their child's information at any time

Parents' Rights Under COPPA

As a parent, you have the right to:

• Review: Access all personal information collected from your child
• Delete: Request deletion of your child's information at any time
• Refuse: Refuse further collection or use of your child's information
• Modify: Update or correct your child's information
• Revoke Consent: Withdraw consent and delete your child's account

1. Go to Settings → Child Profiles → [Select Child] → Manage Data

3. Delete your parent account (automatically deletes all associated child data)

Important: Refusing or withdrawing consent may result in your child being unable to use certain features of the app, or may require deletion of the child's profile.

Age Verification and Protection

• We do not allow children to create accounts without parental authorization
• The app requires role selection (Parent or Child) during onboarding
• Only Parent roles can create households and add children
• Child roles can only join existing households with parent-provided codes
• We verify that account creators are adults through email verification or Apple Sign In age verification

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Data encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication via Apple Sign In and Supabase Auth
• Access controls to limit who can view data
• Regular security updates and monitoring

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

Active Accounts

We retain your data while your account is active to provide our services and maintain your household information.

Deleted Accounts

When you delete your account:

• Personal information (name, email, photos, task data) is permanently deleted within 30 days
• Anonymized usage analytics (if any) may be retained for up to 90 days for service improvement
• Legal compliance data (if applicable) is retained only as required by law (e.g., financial records, legal disputes)

Children's Data Deletion

Children's data is deleted immediately when:

• A parent removes the child's profile from the household
• A parent deletes their parent account (automatically deletes all associated child profiles and data)
• A child turns 18 and requests account deletion or conversion to an independent account

Important for Parents: Deleting your parent account will permanently delete all associated child profiles and their data. This action cannot be undone.

How to Delete Your Data

Parents can delete data at any time through multiple methods:

1. Delete Individual Child Profile:
   • Go to Settings → Family → [Select Child] → Delete Profile
2. Delete Your Entire Account:
   • Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
   • This deletes your account and all associated child profiles
3. Email Request:
   • Email Envive.app@gmail.com with subject "Data Deletion Request"
   • Include your registered email address
   • We will process your request within 30 days

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Envive mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

For Parents: By creating an account and adding your child to Envive, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your child and yourself.

2. Eligibility

Age Requirements

• Adults (18+): You may create a parent account
• Children (Under 18): Must have a parent or legal guardian create and authorize their account
• Minimum Age: No child under 4 years of age may use this App

Parental Consent and COPPA Compliance

For Parents of Children Under 13:

By creating a parent account and adding your child to Envive, you represent and warrant that:

1. You are the parent or legal guardian of the child
2. You are 18 years of age or older
3. You have authority to consent to these Terms on behalf of your child
4. You consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your child's information as described in our Privacy Policy
5. You understand your rights under COPPA to review, delete, or refuse collection of your child's data

Verifiable Parental Consent:

We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information from children under 13 through:

• Requiring adult-only parent account creation with email verification or Apple Sign In
• Preventing children from creating accounts independently
• Requiring parents to explicitly create and authorize child profiles
• Maintaining parent-controlled architecture where child accounts cannot exist without parent accounts

Parents or legal guardians must:

• Create their own verified account first
• Explicitly authorize and set up child accounts
• Review and accept these Terms on behalf of their children

3. Account Responsibilities

Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account

Parent Accounts

As a parent user, you agree to:

• Supervise your child's use of the App
• Configure appropriate screen time restrictions
• Monitor your child's activities within the App
• Ensure your child uses the App in accordance with these Terms

Child Accounts

Children may only use the App:

• With explicit parental permission
• Under parental supervision
• In accordance with restrictions set by their parent
• In a safe and appropriate manner

4. Acceptable Use

• Share content within your household group
• Customize settings appropriate for your family

You May Not:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on others' intellectual property rights

• Share your account with people outside your household
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempt to circumvent screen time restrictions or parental controls
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization

5. Screen Time and Family Controls

Features and Limitations

The App uses Apple's Family Controls framework to provide screen time management. You understand and agree that:

• On-Device Only: Screen time controls work only on the device where the App is installed
• iOS Limitations: Features are subject to iOS capabilities and restrictions
• Not Foolproof: Determined users may find ways to circumvent controls
• Parental Responsibility: Ultimate responsibility for managing device usage rests with parents
• No Guarantees: We do not guarantee complete prevention of unwanted app usage

Proper Use of Controls

Parents agree to:

• Use screen time features reasonably and appropriately
• Not use controls in ways that could harm their child's wellbeing
• Ensure controls are age-appropriate and fair
• Communicate with their children about device usage rules

6. Content and Photos

Your Content

You retain ownership of photos and content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a license to:

• Store and display your content within your household
• Use content to provide App features (task verification, profiles, etc.)
• Process content on our servers (Supabase)

Content Standards

All content must:

• Be appropriate for all household members
• Not violate any laws or third-party rights
• Not contain malware or harmful code
• Not include personal information of others without consent

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards.

7. Household and Invite Codes

Household Groups

• Each household should represent a real family unit
• Invite codes are for adding legitimate family members only
• Do not share invite codes publicly or with strangers
• Parents are responsible for all members of their household

Termination of Household

When a household is deleted:

• All household data will be removed
• Member accounts may become inaccessible
• This action cannot be undone

8. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

All intellectual property in the App, including but not limited to:

• Source code and software
• Design, graphics, and user interface
• Trademarks and branding
• Documentation and content

...remains the property of Envive and its licensors.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

9. Privacy and Data

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

Data Collection and Processing

By using the App, you acknowledge and consent to:

For Parents - Children's Data:

• You consent to collection and processing of your child's data as described in our Privacy Policy

Third-Party Services:

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

"AS IS" Basis

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability

No Guarantee of Service

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or harmful components
• Screen time controls will work perfectly in all situations

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from use or inability to use the App
• Damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the last 12 months ($0 for free users)

Parental Responsibility

We are not responsible for:

• How parents choose to use screen time controls
• The relationship between parents and children
• Any harm resulting from improper use of parental controls
• Children's behavior or device usage

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Envive, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of others
• Content you upload or share

12. Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Deleting your account through the App settings
• Contacting us to request account deletion

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• We suspect fraudulent or illegal activity
• We discontinue the App
• Required by law

Upon termination:

• Your access to the App will cease
• Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy

13. Changes to Terms

15. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except:

Class Action Waiver

No Waiver

Survival

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including liability limitations, indemnification, and dispute resolution).

18. Apple-Specific Terms and Compliance

App Category and Audience

Envive is classified as a Family/Parental Control app and is designed for mixed audiences:

• Primary Users: Parents and legal guardians (18+ years old)
• Secondary Users: Children (ages 4-17) under direct parental supervision
• Not a Kids Category App: This app is NOT classified in Apple's Kids Category, as it requires parental setup and is intended for family use with adult supervision

Family Controls Framework Usage

This App uses Apple's Family Controls framework exclusively for legitimate parental control purposes:

We use Family Controls for:

• Parental screen time management and monitoring
• Monitoring app usage within the household
• Setting age-appropriate device restrictions
• Enabling parents to manage their children's device usage

We do NOT use Family Controls for:

• Advertising or marketing purposes
• Tracking users outside the intended parental control features
• Collecting data for third-party sharing
• Any commercial purposes beyond providing our core service
• Surveillance or monitoring beyond what parents explicitly authorize

Important Technical Details:

• Screen time data remains on-device only and is never transmitted to our servers
• Parents maintain complete control over what is monitored
• Family Controls features require explicit parental authorization

Compliance with Apple App Store Guidelines

This app complies with Apple App Store Review Guidelines, including:

• Section 1.3: Kids Category requirements (not applicable - we are not a Kids app)
• Section 5.1.1: Privacy requirements and data collection practices
• Section 5.1.4: Kids Apps requirements for collecting data from children under 13

Apple Account Requirements

If you use Apple Sign In to authenticate:

App Store Terms
